We are so proud to announce that our very own member Marilyn Stevens has been selected as the District Governor Nominee Designate for the 2022-23 Rotary year.
 
Marilyn has been a Rotarian since 1993 when she became a charter member of the Hutt Valley Rotary Club.  She has held club positions including that of President of the Rotary club of Otaki, has been an Assistant Governor and led a Rotary District 9940 Group Study Exchange to Sweden.  
Currently Marilyn is Chair of  District 9940 Interact Committee and Chair of the District Youth Service.
Marilyn’s working life has included management in the early childhood sector and in a local electrical company.  
She was the joint owner, with husband Wayne, of a compressed air and construction equipment company, has been a motel owner and was a Field Officer for the NZ Cancer Society.  
Marilyn and Wayne have a long standing commitment of service to their communities.  
With her experience as a local body representative on the Otaki Community Board as well as the various roles she has held in the workforce and Rotary, Marilyn is ideally suited to the position of District Governor.
