"Tonight, it is my absolute privilege to honour one of our club members by making him a Paul Harris Fellow.
The recipient tonight epitomizes the Rotary motto of ‘Service above Self’. He has been in our club for more than 11 years and during this time has contributed to the community as a successful business owner, has supported many local organisations and charities (including Child Cancer) and has set up a Trust to recognize and help youth achievement. He is a behind the scenes worker who is generous in his support of all club activities, whether they be for fundraising or community events. He served several terms as a Director on the Board and has been involved in updating our Club documents. He was Club President in 2017.
Our special person tonight is Vincent Indo.
Vince, you were selected to receive this recognition because Kapiti Rotary believes that you exemplify the objectives of the Rotary Foundation. We thank you for demonstrating in your life and vocation a commitment to persons in need here and around the world.
Congratulations Vince.
It gives me great pleasure to present you with this Paul Harris Fellow award. There are 3 emblems of a Paul Harris Fellow: the certificate, a lapel pin, and a medallion. The certificate states that it is given in “appreciation of tangible and significant assistance given for the furtherance of better understanding and friendly relations among the peoples of the world”.
Please wear the medallion and pin with pride.
Congratulations again Vince."
