Terry McCarthy and Deidre Burke, Celebrated Coaches and Life Members of the Wellington Rowing Club together with Champion Rower and Club Member Richard May (he demonstrating in the rowing "suit") facilitating a fun evening for members.
Divided into 4 teams; the Cindies, Judes, Winnies, Jimmies (think political parties) relayed to compete over 1,000 metres (three times).The results were not quite as predicted with Cindies first (they were kind) followed by the Jimmies (late bolters after a falling out of boat early on), then the Winnies (full of seasoned campaigners who arrogantly assumed they would win) with the Judes lanquishing in last place after a few poor calls in their campaign.
